Katie Garringer was born and raised in Muncie, IN. After finishing her masters degree in Oboe Performance, Katie decided to give the classical world of music a rest and pick up a different axe- a guitar. She has been singing and writing her own songs for the last two years, and hasn't turned back since. Katie's style is a collection of folk, indie, and country sounds. Her full band includes acoustic guitar, keys, steel guitar, mandolin, bass, and drums. Katie is currently living in New York City as a freelance singer-songwriter and oboist, but she still enjoys coming back home to play with "the guys" as often as she can. Muncie will always be her homebase.
